hey guys,
i am a worship leader and musician from northwest arkansas. i currently lead worship for camps, retreats, mission trips, and when other worship leaders take time off. my desire is to encourage people in loving God more deeply, and passionately seeking to be more like Jesus daily.
a few weeks ago the guys and i were in panama city, florida leading for a camp. one night, late after the service, we were walking along on the beach. as i watched the waves crash into the shoreline i thought to myself, from the beginning when God created the ocean, waves have been crashing into the shoreline. every second of everyday from creation until Jesus comes again these waves will crash into the shoreline. then i thought about God’s love for us, for you. how just like the waves crashing into the shoreline God’s love, mercy, and grace crash into us all day, everyday. when we mess up, they crash into us. when we think, say, and look at things we shouldn’t, they crash into us. when we treat people in ways they shouldn’t be treated, they crash into us. this is how much God loves us, how much He loves you. every morning we wake up and breathe in air, His mercy and compassion are brand new for us, for you (lamentations 3.23).
when we think about who God is and what He has done for us, our only reasonable response is to worship Him through our lifestyle — may it be a living sacrifice (romans 12.1).
