Greetings Earthlings

January 12, 2008

Welp, I’ve begun the adventure of blogging.  I’m writing from a super fly house in Crested Butte, Colorado.  Some friends of mine from New Life Ranch and I have been here for a week now.  In the last 72 hours we’ve had 62″ of snow — that’s 5.1 ft. of snow in the last three days.  To put that into perspective, it would most likely cover your grandmother standing straight up!  The terrain here in the southern Rockies is absolutely breathtaking.  To think that God simply spoke these monstrous mountains into existence is simply to much to wrap our finite minds around.  This week has been full of adventure: skiing, sledding, exploring the town, eating, playing the wii, yahtzee, watching movies, great talks with friends, and just chillaxin’!  Skiing was great, but the sledding had to be the high point of the week — mainly due to the ingenious idea of building a ramp 3/4 the way down the slope.  After the completion of the ramp, my friends John, Rhett, and I each took turns attempting to seriously injure ourselves by flying approximately 10 ft. forwards in mid air.  In the end, no limbs were broken, but there were plenty of bumps and bruises.I’m not quite sure what’s to become of this blog.  Maybe I’ll write frequently, maybe I won’t.  I anticipate that new writing entries will be based upon the demands of numerous professors at the University of Arkansas — if you know what I mean. Whatever happens, I sure hope you enjoy reading these words.  I hope you visit here often during your web browsing, and that you feel the complete freedom to comment at any point!   Wishing you all the best…
